Late Maryam Babangida's mother passes away.

Late Maryam Babangida

Hajiya Asabe King, mother of late Maryam Babangida has passed on. She died on Thursday November 17, 2010, in a hospital in Cairo, Egypt, after a protracted illness. She was 88 years old.

She died barely one year after the death of her daughter and wife of the former military leader, Maryam, who passed away in an American hospital on December 27, 2009.

The late Hajiya Asabe has since been interred in Kontagora, Niger State according to Islamic injunctions.

She is survived by her son, Chief Sunny Okogwu, her daughters, Hadiza King and Jummai Sambo, many grand and greatgrand children.
